It's good to be here again after a summer spent shaking my head at the lack of interesting music coming from these shores and sheltering from the awful English weather. I've still managed to amass a pile of new albums however and that's why this first podcast in a while is a little new track heavy.

The Olivia Tremor Control hail from Georiga, USA. They were founders of the Elephant Six collective, a group of experimental musicians and friends that spawned, among others, Apples in Stereo, Of Montreal, Elf Power, Great Lakes and Essex Green. I've concretated on the bands nearest to The Olivia Tremor Control on the E6 family tree as an introduction to this wonderfully psychedelic underworld of music. If you want to know more about these bands and the Elephant Six Collective I can recommend their very own website: 'www.elephant6.com'. Dedicated to Trev Faull, without whom I may never have discovered everything you hear on this Ears Wide Open special. Circulatory System – Yesterday’s World

Podcast SummaryNew music, old music, music. About MikeA wannabe DJ that used to play this sort of thing to bars and clubs full of people that would have preferred "It's Raining Men" by The Weather Girls. Retreated into my playroom and now entertain whoever it is that stumbled across the podcast, safe in the knowledge that I won't see them when they start to get bored and restless.
